First Nations, Refugees, LGBTQIA+, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse artists, Artists of Colour, and artists in regional NSW are amongst the most underrepresented members of our creative community. The Pandemic crisis further entrenched that disadvantage.
Artists who come from the above backgrounds have been hit twice. We undertook an artists consultation and apart from their feedback that it is almost impossible to make a living as an artist in Australia, they reported the need for capacity building and training for artists and cultural educators on Grant Making, Financial Literacy for Artists, Marketing, Audience Engagement, Insurance.
Through our membership program, we provide capacity-building and employment pathways to these artists. We offer a variety of resources and support, including:
We believe that all artists deserve the opportunity to thrive. By providing these resources and support, we are helping to level the playing field for artists from underrepresented backgrounds.

We acknowledge that the traditional custodians of this land we call Australia are holders and custodians of knowledge systems that are passed down from one generation to the next, through an oral tradition practiced for 70,000 years. We also acknowledge the Gadigal and Guringai people, on whose lands we live, learn and work, and pay deep respect to their elders, past and present, to their emerging leaders, and to the knowledge embedded forever in the Aboriginal custodianship of Country.
