This program came to life as a result of an artists and community consultation undertaken on the Central Coast, that highlighted the need for Central Coast artists to have local paid performance opportunities, opportunities to collaborate with artists from different disciplines, opportunities to develop new multidisciplinary work and to engage with new audiences; Another finding was the need of CaLD communities to have free arts and cultural programs that represent the many cultures on the Central Coast so it will help new arrivals integrate and teach the broader community the importance of embracing diversity, making the Central Coast an inclusive place to live, work, and play for everyone and to bring arts and culture to public schools, community centres, aged care facilities, juvenile centres and community events.
Artistry on Wheels is an innovative and inspiring initiative aimed at bringing the magic of art and culture to activate Central Coast's unexpected locations and underserved areas through a sustainable pop-up stage on wheels. Partnering with My Dream Van Co to create an eco- friendly mobile performance space for culturally-centred, contemporary live, interactive performances and workshops sure to engage our diverse communities, including children, people with disability, older people, families and youth.

We acknowledge that the traditional custodians of this land we call Australia are holders and custodians of knowledge systems that are passed down from one generation to the next, through an oral tradition practiced for 70,000 years. We also acknowledge the Guringai, Darkinung, Awabakal, Dharug and Gadigal people, on whose lands we live, learn and work, and pay deep respect to their elders, past and present, to their emerging leaders, and to the knowledge embedded forever in the Aboriginal custodianship of Country.
