We are seeking a talented Central Coast First Nations or CALD artist/carpenter/installation artist to create a visually captivating artwork that will serve as the front and backdrop for our Caravan stage. This removable and portable artwork, "Artistry on Wheels: A Journey through Creativity," will enhance our project's aesthetic appeal and serve as a dynamic installation reflecting the essence of our initiative.
Artistry on Wheels is an innovative and inspiring initiative to bring the magic of art and culture to unexpected locations and underserved areas of the Central Coast. Through a sustainable pop-up stage on wheels, we partner with My Dream Van Co to create an eco-friendly mobile performance space for culturally-centred, contemporary live, interactive performances and workshops. Our goal is to engage diverse communities, including children, people with disabilities, older people, families, and youth.
The project places a strong emphasis on sustainability. Artistry on Wheels is equipped with eco-friendly features such as solar panels and energy-efficient lighting, ensuring minimal environmental impact during its travels. Additionally, points will be given to projects that can use reusable materials.
Conceptual Freedom: We encourage artists to unleash their creativity and propose designs that align with the theme of our project. The artwork should resonate with the spirit and goals of our initiative.
Medium and Materials: The artwork should be designed to be both removable and portable, allowing for easy installation and transportation. Consideration should be given to the durability of the materials used, ensuring the artwork remains vibrant and intact during transit and setup.

We acknowledge that the traditional custodians of this land we call Australia are holders and custodians of knowledge systems that are passed down from one generation to the next, through an oral tradition practiced for 70,000 years. We also acknowledge the Gadigal and Guringai people, on whose lands we live, learn and work, and pay deep respect to their elders, past and present, to their emerging leaders, and to the knowledge embedded forever in the Aboriginal custodianship of Country.
